A little about me…
My name is Shantel Stone. I was fortunate to find a passion for all things in industrial drilling, which allowed me to travel and help people with their project challenges.
With a solid background in the industrial drilling industry spanning over 15 years, I gained valuable experience at Baroid Industrial Drilling Products (IDP). I began my journey by developing drilling products before progressing to Managing Technical Services and Training, as well as Product & Laboratory Manager. I have consulted and/or trained customers in over half the states in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and most countries south of Texas.
My journey to founding Slurryworx, LLC has been fueled by a deep-rooted passion for problem-solving and a commitment to making a difference in the industry.
What about Slurryworx…
Incorporating my passion for customer interaction and industry knowledge, I founded Slurryworx, LLC. This venture provides me with the perfect platform to share my expertise and connect with customers.
The choice of the bull as our emblem pays homage to my roots near Spindletop, TX, where the innovative history of drilling fluids began with a serendipitous mix-up involving cattle and clay-infused water. In the early 1900’s, a herd of cattle at Spindletop ran through a pit of water that drillers were pumping downhole. The cattle mixed up the natural clay into the water and the first drilling fluid was born. This nod to the past holds sentimental value and underscores our commitment to tradition.
Moreover, my daughter’s pivotal role in christening Slurryworx symbolizes the bridge to the future, embodying the legacy I aim to build and pass on in this evolving industry.
